Mike Rauta
Mike Rauta
Mike Rauta has twenty years of experience in technology, sales, operations, and consulting.  Prior to founding Pivvit, Mike specialized in business technology and service operations at McKinsey & Company, where he led lean transformations for Fortune 500 clients and was promoted to Associate Partner.

In addition to his work in lean operations, Mike also led a salesforce effectiveness transformation for an enterprise software client that positioned the company to be acquired for $5B within two years.

Prior to McKinsey, Mike was the first employee and product manager at Xtime (sold for $300M), a Silicon Valley enterprise software company backed by Venrock and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.  After launching the product, Mike transferred to business development and sales where he made many of Xtime’s inital sales and was promoted to Director of Business Development.   Mike received his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Physics from Harvard University.

Jason Roberts

Jason Roberts graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago in 1993 and has been writing code and launching startups ever since. His initial ventures were focused on the financial markets and algorithmic trading, but in 2004 Jason moved on to building web applications starting with the cutting-edge presentation platform, Preezo.

In addition to his entrepreneurial efforts, Jason has worked as a freelance consultant helping trailblazing technology startups like Uber and MarkITx address their most challenging technical problems. Jason coded Uber’s real-time dispatch system and served as the company’s de-facto CTO from inception until the company reached 400 employees.

David Moon
David Moon
David Moon has led a highly accomplished career with 30+ years in information technology and cybersecurity. A mainframe computer operator for a nuclear missile base while still a teenager, David wrote his first commercially-licensed software code developing the accounts payable module for a manufacturing-oriented ERP system at age 23.

After 15 years as a CIO for three $1bn+ companies, Mark Travel Corp, Westin Hotels (now Marriott), and DoubleTree Hotels (now Hilton), David moved to consulting as a Partner and cybersecurity leader for Arthur Andersen, Capgemini Consulting, and PriceWaterhouse Coopers where he was Director of Cybersecurity for PwC’s Financial Services industry practice.

David’s clients have included Cargill, Visa International, Commerce Bank, Mitsubishi Bank, Goldman Sachs, PIMCO, Colony Capital, Vivendi, Intel, Cisco Systems, Flextronics, Sempra Energy, Southern California Edison, Toyota Motor Corporation, Nippon Telephone & Telegraph, Fairmont Hotels and Grant Thornton.  Most recently David co-founded Arx Nimbus, a cybersecurity SaaS software company and consulting firm that serves government agencies and Fortune 500 clients.

David earned his BS in Management and MS in Management Information Systems from Cardinal Stritch University, his MA in Economic Geography at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. David is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). In 2006 David completed the Advanced Information Security Program at Stanford University.

Denisse Goldbarg was Vice President of Marketing for Time Warner Cable Business Services / AOL prior to Pivvit, where she was responsible for Corporate Marketing and managed a $30M budget.  In that role she managed all aspects of branding, lead generation for small, medium, and large businesses, product marketing, interactive marketing, channel marketing, and corporate sponsorships.

Prior to Time Warner Cable, Denisse worked for more than 15 years in sales and marketing at such companies as Teligent, MCI, and Colgate Palmolive, and Booz Allen & Hamilton.  She serves as a Board Member of the Washington Women’s Leadership Initiative, and also as a volunteer project lead for Compass, where she consults to nonprofits.

Denisse graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Wellesley College, and holds an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard University.

Mike Lyons currently serves as Chairman of Zanttz, Inc., Executive Chairman of CypherPath, Director of Real-Time Innovations, and Managing Director of NewLine Ventures, LLC.  Previously, he founded SafeView, Inc. (sold to L3 Communications) and co-founded Integrated Systems Inc., which he helped take public (INTS, merged with WindRiver Systems and later acquired by Intel).

Mike was a co-founder and General Partner of Zilkha Venture Partners and has served as a Venture Partner with the Paladin Capital Group, ePlanet Ventures I and II, an Entrepreneur in Residence at Vanguard Ventures, and a Sr. Advisory Director of Investcorp.

Mike has been a Consulting Associate Professor the Stanford University Department of Management Science and Engineering since 1988, where he co-developed of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program with Professor Tom Byers and is the academic director of the Stanford-Lille SCPD Executive Education Program.   He is a founding professor of Stanford’s Technology Venture Formation, one of the most highly rated courses in the School of Engineering, which he co-teaches with Audrey MacLean, a leading Silicon Valley Angel investor.  Concurrently, Mike is also a Consulting Associate Professor at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.

Mike received a Bachelors and Masters (equivalent) in Engineering Physics from Cornell University, an MSEE from Stanford, and an MBA, with Distinction, from the Pepperdine Presidential/Key Executive Program. He is a graduate of the Stanford/AEA Institute for the Management of High Technology Companies and a Babson Fellow in Entrepreneurship Education.

Peter Kim is CEO of MightyHive, an enterprise software company based in San Francisco, that is backed by leading Silicon Valley investors.  An influential figure in advertising technology, Peter has worked with the world’s largest advertisers on improving marketing strategies across every industry vertical.  He has held senior positions in sales, product management, and business development at Google, as Head of Ad Platform Business Development, and Yahoo!, where he was Director of Dynamic Advertising.  Peter earned his BS Biomechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Randy Korba has a deep background in e-Commerce and technology, having held executive roles at Amazon, Junglee, YouSendIt, and Collabrys.  Randy was VP of Business Development for Junglee, acquired by Amazon, where he became Director of Business Development.  After Amazon, Randy co-founded & led investments at Sherpalo Ventures with Ram Shriram (early investor and later Chairman of Google).  As the early President of YouSendIt (now HighTail) Randy, led a four-person start-up through initial Venture rounds and growth from thousands of users to tens of millions today.

Randy co-founded Collabrys (acquired by E-Centives), and has also held Advisory or Director roles with PayPal (acquired by eBay), eLance (merged with oDesk), Yodlee (acquired by Envestnet), Xtime (acquired by Cox), ActivEye (acquired by Honeywell), CombineNet (acquired by SciQuest), Tradesparq (merged with Shanghai Shuangji), Skylight Health Systems (merged with GetWellNetwork), GoMoment, Buyer Leverage, Medallia, and Mobissimo.  Randy received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s in Economics from Northwestern University.

Pivvit is uniquely organized in small cross-functional teams giving our developers direct access to senior leaders and client champions with very little time lost in meetings or administrative red tape.  We use an agile development process that combines Lean operations, Kanban, and Lean Startup methodologies to push code to production daily while avoiding rework.
