Pivvit is led by experienced Silicon Valley executives and advisors, including alumni from Stanford, Harvard, McKinsey, IBM, Uber, and Westin.
In addition to his work in lean operations, Mike also led a salesforce effectiveness transformation for an enterprise software client that positioned the company to be acquired for $5B within two years.
Prior to McKinsey, Mike was the first employee and product manager at Xtime (sold for $300M), a Silicon Valley enterprise software company backed by Venrock and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. After launching the product, Mike transferred to business development and sales where he made many of Xtime’s inital sales and was promoted to Director of Business Development. Mike received his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Physics from Harvard University.
After 15 years as a CIO for three $1bn+ companies, Mark Travel Corp, Westin Hotels (now Marriott), and DoubleTree Hotels (now Hilton), David moved to consulting as a Partner and cybersecurity leader for Arthur Andersen, Capgemini Consulting, and PriceWaterhouse Coopers where he was Director of Cybersecurity for PwC’s Financial Services industry practice.
David’s clients have included Cargill, Visa International, Commerce Bank, Mitsubishi Bank, Goldman Sachs, PIMCO, Colony Capital, Vivendi, Intel, Cisco Systems, Flextronics, Sempra Energy, Southern California Edison, Toyota Motor Corporation, Nippon Telephone & Telegraph, Fairmont Hotels and Grant Thornton. Most recently David co-founded Arx Nimbus, a cybersecurity SaaS software company and consulting firm that serves government agencies and Fortune 500 clients.
David earned his BS in Management and MS in Management Information Systems from Cardinal Stritch University, his MA in Economic Geography at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. David is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). In 2006 David completed the Advanced Information Security Program at Stanford University.
Prior to Time Warner Cable, Denisse worked for more than 15 years in sales and marketing at such companies as Teligent, MCI, and Colgate Palmolive, and Booz Allen & Hamilton. She serves as a Board Member of the Washington Women’s Leadership Initiative, and also as a volunteer project lead for Compass, where she consults to nonprofits.
Denisse graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Wellesley College, and holds an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard University.

Mike was a co-founder and General Partner of Zilkha Venture Partners and has served as a Venture Partner with the Paladin Capital Group, ePlanet Ventures I and II, an Entrepreneur in Residence at Vanguard Ventures, and a Sr. Advisory Director of Investcorp.
Mike has been a Consulting Associate Professor the Stanford University Department of Management Science and Engineering since 1988, where he co-developed of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program with Professor Tom Byers and is the academic director of the Stanford-Lille SCPD Executive Education Program. He is a founding professor of Stanford’s Technology Venture Formation, one of the most highly rated courses in the School of Engineering, which he co-teaches with Audrey MacLean, a leading Silicon Valley Angel investor. Concurrently, Mike is also a Consulting Associate Professor at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
Mike received a Bachelors and Masters (equivalent) in Engineering Physics from Cornell University, an MSEE from Stanford, and an MBA, with Distinction, from the Pepperdine Presidential/Key Executive Program. He is a graduate of the Stanford/AEA Institute for the Management of High Technology Companies and a Babson Fellow in Entrepreneurship Education.
Randy co-founded Collabrys (acquired by E-Centives), and has also held Advisory or Director roles with PayPal (acquired by eBay), eLance (merged with oDesk), Yodlee (acquired by Envestnet), Xtime (acquired by Cox), ActivEye (acquired by Honeywell), CombineNet (acquired by SciQuest), Tradesparq (merged with Shanghai Shuangji), Skylight Health Systems (merged with GetWellNetwork), GoMoment, Buyer Leverage, Medallia, and Mobissimo. Randy received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s in Economics from Northwestern University.

Pivvit is uniquely organized in small cross-functional teams giving our developers direct access to senior leaders and client champions with very little time lost in meetings or administrative red tape. We use an agile development process that combines Lean operations, Kanban, and Lean Startup methodologies to push code to production daily while avoiding rework.
Pivvit is led by experienced Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. Prior to being an Associate Partner with McKinsey & Company, our CEO worked as the first employee at Xtime, a Silicon Valley enterprise software company that was acquired for $300M. Our CTO coded the real-time dispatch system for Uber and served as their de facto CTO until they grew to 400 employees. Our advisory board comprises former executives from Google, Yahoo, AOL, early advisors to PayPal, eLance, Google, and a former Venture Capitalist and Stanford Professor of Entrepreneurship.
